There is a man in the Dominica Republic that is housing and helping Haitians that are crossing the border looking for help. He needs some supplies to continue helping these men/women/children who have lost their families and have nowhere else to go. He is trying to them get well enough to move on to a new life. A few things he needs are twin sheets for the beds, towels, feminine products, and non-perishable food. Contact us as soon as possible if you are interested in being a part of our team to the Dominican Republic this August. More details to come in the coming months. Dates will be in early August for about 7-8 days and cost around $1700 or so. While there we will probably be involved with continuing/ongoing relief efforts from Haiti’s earthquake, some construction, and some relational aspects of serving others. A family of 4 has fallen on hard time due to the economy. The father had a great business in the Chino Hills area and lost it like so many others. With the loss of the business came the loss of their home as well, they are looking for an apartment in the Chino Hills/Diamond Bar or surrounding area. LUN Heads to the Dominican Republic to help Haiti’s Relief Efforts

LUN is headed off to Santo Domingo from Jan 27 to February 1 to meet with individual organizations, businesses, and churches to begin assembling an emergency response team for future crisis moments. While there, LUN will also see how we can better partner with existing efforts in response to Haiti’s massive earthquake. Stay tuned for further developments on this exciting project.

Mom and Dad both with Attacks on the Heart

Friends, I would like to ask you to pray for my friends Kevin and Sara. Kevin had a mild heart attack, was admitted to the hospital, and released to his home all this week, only to watch his wife have chest pains and admitted to the hospital days later. To say the least, they could use your prayers for not only healing but also recovery. With three boys at home recovery can’t come soon enough. 7 yr old Elijah is Afraid

Would you please pray some friends or mine here in southern California, Melanie & Paul Dinneweth , Their son Elijah is 7 years old and has been having severe leg pains for several weeks. They have seen many doctors and have run lots of tests and blood work, still without answers. The doctors have finally admited him to Loma Linda Hospital a few days ago to run more tests. Elijah is so scared and wants to go home. Please pray and ask God to provide answers, and that Elijah will be comforted and for God to heal, and that his parents are able to comfort him.
